Angelica archangelica

Angelica archangelica
  • Angelica
This tall, imposing herb is a biennial, which means it will flower in the second year of growth, then die. However, great quantities of seed mean these can be scattered about to keep continuity. The domed umbels of tiny, white flowers are borne on hefty stems that are usually soft green, but sometimes purple. At the base is a raft of large, deeply divided leaves that are scented.
