An unusual, very upright aster that, although a little rough around the edges, grows into an airy plant topped with broad clusters of small, white flowers that when the weather is warm have a faint cinnamon scent. The leaves are long and pointed. Despite the height this needs not support.

Upright plant
Very hardy perennial, this survives temperatures down to -10 degrees and more. Cut back late autumn to early spring after the leaves have died back. This can also be reduced in height early in the season by cutting the stems by a third.
