Perhaps the darkest red astrantia there is. The flowers are carried on near black stems, with deeply cut mid-green leaves that is tinged around the edges with maroon when young. Very dark red flowers on near black stems. Not the most vigorous variety.

Care advice

All Astrantias can take a little time to establish, but once established they are very easy to grow in most soils. To prevent seedlings from appearing (they do not seed true) remove the flower heads as they finish.
