Centranthus ruber
(syn. Valeriana ruber/Valerian)
I love these plants especially when they seed freely. They produce foaming heads of small, deep pink flowers. These froth from grey-green stems that carry waxy grey-green leaves. They will grow in any soil, including lime, chalk and rubble. Often seen at the base and on top of walls.
