Delphinium 'Astolat'
(Delphinium)
Distinguished spikes of soft lilac-pink flowers are carried with dignity above a clump of delicately fingered, mid-green foliage. They like a good, deeply dug soil with a lot of humus added for the best results.

Hardy to -10 degrees or more, the foliage dies back in autumn and slowly emerges again in spring. Cut back the old leaves before new ones spring up.
Delphiniums thrive in deep, rich soil and benefit from an application of well-rotted manure being dug in before planting. Remove the flower stems after they have set seed.
