The large, daisy-shaped, dark magenta-pink flowers are made up of two rows of stiff petals. These skirt around a spiky, reddish brown middle that is surprisingly fragrant. The blooms are carried on sturdy, dark red stems with a few deep green leaves.

Care advice

Echinaceas aren't the most perennial of perennials (sadly). I have found if the old flowers are removed they last longer.
