Eryngium bourgatii 'Picos Amethyst'
(Sea holly)
The small dome of tiny blue flowers is surrounded by a large, spiky collar that begins life silver and changes to rich blue with age. These are borne on well-branched silver stems that also turn blue with age. Mid-green leaves reside at the base of the plant. The flowers are loved by bees.
