Fragaria vesca 'Alexandra'
(Alpine strawberry)
A pretty plant for placing along the front of a border. Unlike other strawberries, this does not produce runners, but creates a neat, rounded mound of large, mid-green leaves between which sit small, pure white flowers. The flowers, once pollenated, grow into delicious, small strawberries. Great for a container.
