Geranium ibericum 'Ushguli Grijs'
  • Geranium-ushgul-grey1
I bought this while visiting nurseries abroad and have found it to be a reliable and lovely plant. The soft-to-the-touch, round leaves are greyish. These form an attractive mound and is covered with clusters of large, lilac-blue flowers that are prettily marked with short veins of purple. Flowers for a relatively short time. I have discovered other plants that look like this popping up in other borders, therefore I suspect it seeds itself true.

Care advice

A hardy perennial that dies back in autumn and reemerges again in spring. Hardy to -10, this is easy to grow, but will take a year or two to reach full maturity. Divide every 3 or 4 years to keep the plant vigorous.
