Geum rivale 'Album'
(Avens)
Not the most showy of geums, but nice never-the-less. The creamy white, cupped flowers dangle shyly from short stems that rise from a dense mound of mid-green leaves. Great for moist soils.

Hardy to -10 degrees and more. Most of the foliage remains throughout the winter, with new leaves emerging in spring. Remove any old leaves when they look tatty. Easy to grow, but grows more easily in a soil that retains some moisture in summer.
