Mid-green leaves are carried up the stems which eventually will produce a broad clump. More of a late summer plant, than all summer, this fills the gap between summer and autumn.

Upright plant
A hardy perennial, this is hardy to -10 degrees or more. Likes a soil that retains some moisture, but not too much. Don't allow other plants to crowd the plant when first planted. Dies back in autumn and re emerges in spring. Divide every 3 years or so. Don't divide too small, but keep the plant in big clumps.
