Each long, thin dark dusky red petal is painted with a dark red stripe. The starry flower has a yellow centre and is carried a few at a time on tall, slender stems high above mid-green leaves. Not to be confused with bulbous Lillies, these are NOT poisonous as some websites mention!!

Care advice

A hardy perennial that dies back in autumn and comes back in spring. Very hardy and almost indestructible. One of the most indestructible garden plants, these easily grown plants will grow in almost any situations except for heavy shade and soil that is permanently wet.
