This produces a dense mound of heart-shaped, grass-green leaves that are edged by cream along the slightly wavy edges. As the leaves age, the cream fades to near white. The open, pure white bells are sweetly scented.
A hardy perennial, this survives temperatures below -10 degrees and dies right back in early autumn, emerging again in spring. Slugs love hostas, but are less likely to create havoc when grown in a pot or in a shadier spot.
