A colour somewhere between orange and yellow, the thick, evenly sized petals of this lovely softly coloured bloom are lightly ruffled along the edges and pale to near white towards the bright orange beards. Smallish flowers are borne on widely branched stems well above the foliage.
Bearded irises need to be planted with the rhizome, or root, just above the soil. This is because the rhizome needs to be baked by the sun in order to form flowers. Make sure that there is not too much competition from surrounding plants and remove any weeds.
