Iris 'Common Thread'
A perfectly shaped flower, the white petals are pencilled perfectly with lilac-blue around the edges. A free-flowering plant, each flower is borne on strong stems. The iris parentage is wonderful - Ink Patterns, Crowned Heads and Blackberry Tease - all of which are amongst my favorite irises over the years:

Bearded irises need to be planted with the rhizome, or root, just above the soil. This is because the rhizome needs to be baked by the sun in order to form flowers. Make sure that there is not too much competition from surrounding plants and remove any weeds.
