A lovely flower with corn-yellow standards and white falls broadly edged with purple, the colour etching into petals in dots and veins. Add bronze beards and frilly edges, this is a gloriously exotic iris.
Bearded irises need to be planted with the rhizome, or root, just above the soil. This is because the rhizome needs to be baked by the sun in order to form flowers. Make sure that there is not too much competition from surrounding plants and remove any weeds.
