Hardy to -10 degrees or more, the foliage dies back in autumn and emerges again in spring. Cut off the old growth before the new shoots appear in spring. Slow to establish but if you have a soil with a lot of leaf mold in light shade this is well worth growing. Slugs may attack the new spring shoots.
