Lupinus 'The Chatelaine'
(Lupin)
Tightly packed spikes of pink and white pea-shaped flowers are produced above a shapely mound of deeply fingered, mid-green leaves. These are excellent plants for any garden. They provide the border with strong shape and colour just when spring flowers are fading. Reliable and easy to grow.

Upright plant
Hardy to -10 degrees, the foliage dies back in autumn and emerges again in spring. Remove flower stems as they set seed. Remove the seed pods as they develop to give the plant a longer life. If they are left on I have found the seeds sap the life from the plant, causing it to a shorter life. May be attacked by slugs so preventative action should be taken in slug-ridden years.
