A bright, cheerful plant, the tall stems of bright green leaves are broadly edged with yellow and towards the tops small, rich yellow flowers appear from between the leaves creating a broad spire. Lots of these starry, cupped flowers open over many weeks.
A hardy perennial, this will die back in autumn and re-emerge in spring. Hardy to -10 degrees. A spreading plant, but much less vigorous than the plain-leaved form, this needs a soil that retains moisture.
