A cheerful, upright, fragrant-leaved, plant loved by bees. Whorls of magenta, hooded flowers grace very upright flower stems. Beneath each set of flowers sits a pair of large, mid-green leaves that, if gently rubbed between your fingers, exude a wonderful fragrance.

Care advice

A hardy perennial, this survives temperatures down to -10 degrees or more. Likes a soil that remains moist and may need a little more space for air to circulate as Monardas can suffer from mildew later in the season. Having said that, it is said that this variety has better resistance to mildew than some older varieties
