Peony 'Erda'

Tall, branched, strong stems bear large, single blooms that open strong lemon. The stems carry nice, fresh green leaves. Most of the new peonies we sell are raised in America, this one comes from German breeder, Miely who named this lovely single, cream hybrid variety after the goddess of earth and wisdom. Each large, palest cream petal is lightly crumpled at first. This opens into a deep cup with a centre of large, gold stamens. As the bloom ages the petals fade to near white.
