The semi-double flowers have large pink petals are darker in colour around the edges. In the stamens are long and shaggy, adding to the shaggy feel of the blooms. I've not found this to be very free flowering so this is one for a collector.

Hardy to -15 degrees and more, these loose the leaves in autumn leaving a handsome framework of woody stems visible all winter. Tree peonies need to planted with the grafting union placed at least 10 cm below the soil surface. Prune back any dead growth in spring as soon as the buds turn red.
