Peony 'Lorelei'

Not exactly pink, the petals of this double flowered Hybrid peony open deep orange-pink and turn apricot-orange with age. Introduced by eminent peony breeder Don Hollingsworth, the scent is said to be sweet and spicy. The ruffled inner petals create a dome and are encased by large, scooped guard petals. The flower stems, which carry just one bud, bear light green foliage.
