Peony 'Rozella'

Paeonia 'Rozella'
Peony 'Rozella'
  • Sorry-no-picture
The vibrant, dark pink petals of this lovely plant open into a loosely form, but neatly shaped, shallow dome double bloom. Each petal is is notched and fades slightly along the edges. Registered as a Hybrid peony, probably because of its semi-glossy, deep green leaves, this is very much like a lactiflora in appearance. It creates a short, upright plant that flowers freely.

Care advice

Peonies will grow in most soils as long as they are not wet, including clay soils. They require a sunny or partially shaded site. Herbaceous peonies need to be planted with the eye (the dormant pink buds) no more than 2.5cm below the surface of the soil. Do not mix manure in the soil before planting as this may rot the eyes.
