Peony 'Victorian Blush'

(Paeonia 'Victorian Blush')

A short, neat plant with rather shaggy but tightly held milk-white flowers. The inner petals curl and the large guard petals are faintly tinted with pink. In the middle are shorter petaloids and the yellow stamens, visible among the petals, give the flower a creamy glow. The blooms are carried on stiff stems with glossy, deep green leaves.

Mounding plant
Peonies will grow in most soils as long as they are not wet, including clay soils. They require a sunny or partially shaded site. Herbaceous peonies need to be planted with the eye (the dormant pink buds) no more than 2.5cm below the surface of the soil. Do not mix manure in the soil before planting as this may rot the eyes.
