This gorgeous plant turned up in our garden between two other Persicarias - ‘Inverleith’ and ‘Fat Domino’ that I assume are the parents as this wonderful plant carries the best traits of both varieties. Opening from dark red buds into tiny, rich red flowers the flowers eventually form long, fat spikes which are carried on slender stems not far above a dense, round mound of oval, mid-green leaves. This excellent plant blooms continuously for many months. Named after David Howard, a generous and lovely nurseryman.
