A tidy clump of long, oval, bright green leaves is attractively veined with red. This edible plant can easily fit into among other perennials at the front of a border. Later in the season slim but strong stems bear tiny green flowers on upturned stems down the stems. In time these turn brown. A come and cut again herb.
