Silene atropurpurea
(Lychnis viscaria subsp. atropurpurea/ Viscaria vulgaris dark purple-red-flowered)
A surprisingly bright little plant not unlike a lychnis. The flat, rose-purple flowers carried in purple calyxes are borne in loose sprays on slender purple stems. At the base is a tight clump of long, dark green leaves. I've found it to seed around freely.
