Thin and notched along the edges the leaves are borne sparsely up maroon-purple stems. Towards the end of the stems tiny, lilac-pink flowers appear, a few at a time over a long period. The whole effect is a handsome dark twiggy plant that is useful for pots or dry areas. Not entirely hardy but extremely decorative
