Double flowers  produce lots of petals but they can be further divided by shape. Some open into a dome, which can also be called a crown. Others form a bomb, making the flowers look like a scoop or ball of ice- cream, with layers of interwoven petals sitting on large guard petals. This inner ball can consist of more than one colour.
